The hammer truss is said to be the most spectacular endeavour of the English Medieval carpenter. It is a beautifully complex truss design that allows for large spans with relatively short timbers. There are examples from the 1300’s with spans over 68’ still surviving today.

12/12 roof pitch. 9/12 to 14/12 also available.
